It’s true. I got it. 
After a 27 hour train ride to Guangzhou in China that left me camera-less, championship ring-less, tear-less; returning home to Kunming telling everyone the YWAM trip was off, losing my ability to write my ting-li final exam because I skipped that last class while in Guangzhou…crying…crying…crying…changing my mind, flying to Nanjing with a 20 pound backpack as my carry-on luggage, not being able to find the place where I should sleep that night, finding it; arriving in Frankfurt, arriving in Helsinki, leaving Helsinki because the consulate was closed for holidays, going to the Arctic circle, leaving the Arctic circle and hopping an 11 hour, non shutting off the lights during the night, listening to Finnish rap and snoring, train; arriving back in Helsinki with the news that another Canadian was asked to pay 300 Euros for his visa, crying a little on the inside (all while lugging around 60 pounds of goalie equipment and winter clothes)…I finally FINALLY have my Russian visa.
I leave tomorrow morning at 7:23 am and arrive in St. Petersburg at 2:15 local time.
Thanks for your prayers…can’t wait to see what happens when one has a little faith.
