No one stabbed me, and I’m almost healthy…those are the important things…right.
I’m basically waiting for the call that my goalie equipment got stolen since that’s pretty much the only thing of 'value’ that I have left.
Today, I got a phone call telling me that my new camera, the one to replace the one that disappeared on my Guangzhou visa trip, would cost ¥450 to repair; over half of what I paid for the new camera…would I agree, well yes. Pictures last a lifetime, so what’s another ¥450…right? right.
Okay. So that’s fine, a lot annoying, but no other means. So off I go to the gym. Finish my workout, shower, grab my bag. All my money is gone. I just took out cash for the week yesterday. Awesome... and then I go for my electronic dictionary, my precious precious dictionary; the only one made especially for people learning Chinese, the one I bought especially for this year and was glad I spent every penny of the $300 on it because I use it ALOT, EVERYDAY…it’s gone too. And it has the card with all my Russia pictures on it. Awesome.
It’s only money. It’s only things. They can be replaced (one day…when I have money..) Just don’t think about all the things that have ‘disappeared’ since I arrived in China…because the list is getting pretty long, and besides the computer I’m typing on right now and my goalie equipment, everything else of monetary value is gone. Maybe I should have a garage sale. I could stand on the street with a hat and a cry. AH. AH. Ah.
I know. I know. I know. It’s only money. They were only things.
But really? really. really!
